How to Introduce Your Pelvic Acupuncture Services to Local Healthcare Providers
How do you actually get on the radar of the providers in your community? Not just the pelvic PTs. The OB/GYNs, urogynecologists, REIs, urologists, oncologists, midwives, doulas and pelvic chiropractors who are seeing the same clients you want to serve.
How to Collaborate with Pelvic PTs
Let's talk about what it looks like to actually walk into your community and build referral relationships with pelvic PTs without shrinking yourself in the process. This is the question I hear from acupuncturists more than almost any other. How do I work alongside the pelvic PTs in my area without stepping on their toes? How do I get on their radar without underselling what I do?
Menstrual relations
According to Chinese Medicine, there are unique relationships between the organs and fluids associated with our monthly bleed. Chinese Medicine differs from Western medicine in that the organs do not only carry out their functions on a physiological level, but also on an energetic level. Essentially, this means that each organ has an essence or energy that is particularly unique, almost like a personality. The fluids of the body also hold a vibration. The interplay of these frequencies makes an impact on the whole of the being.
Benefits of adding Pelvic Care to your Acupuncture Practice
Long before becoming an acupuncturist, I became a PT and over time came to specialize in Pelvic Health, specifically dry needling of the pelvic floor and surrounding structures. I became an acupuncturist to go deeper into the spirit of the points and gain deep understanding of the organ system energetics. I fell in love with the impact a needle can make on a physical, emotional or energetic level.
