This mini course is focused on the pessary—a non-surgical medical device that can provide support for those experiencing pelvic organ prolapse or incontinence.
The Vaginal Microbiome
This mini course is all about the Vaginal Microbiome, the ecosystem unique to the vagina. The harmony or disharmony of the microbiome can substantially impact the function of the pelvic floor as well as the function of the internal organs. Understanding the vaginal microbiome can really help us as acupuncturists support our clients.
Pelvic Health Tools
In this course, we’re exploring a variety of pelvic health tools like vaginal dilators, anal dilators, pelvic wands, depth limiters, Kegel weights, red light and other tools that can support healing, extend treatment beyond the clinic, and give patients practical ways to care for themselves at home. While tools are available to directly clients, having some education about tools and their use can elevate the support you provide to your clients.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) is often missed, under diagnosed and misunderstood. This mini course will give you insights into different types of prolapses and help you to understand prolapses from a Chinese Medicine perspective.

This is a presentation on Outcome Measures and Assessment Tools. These tools will help you better assess your patients baseline and progress when it comes to the pelvic floor and common dysfunctions. These tools are very important for assessment, documentation, client progress awareness and empowerment.
Botox and Overactive Bladder
Botox is becoming a more common treatment for overactive bladder. In this mini course, our goal is to get a good understanding of overactive bladder, discuss a Chinese Medicine understanding and approach, and share education with clients so that they can make informed decisions about the best course of treatment for them.
