Sixteen New Pelvic Acupuncturists, Two Graduates Who Came Back, and a Closing Circle I Will Not Forget

There is a moment at the end of every practical that I wait for. The closing circle. The room goes quiet in a different way than it was quiet during lecture. Sixteen new pelvic acupuncturists sat in that space in Seattle this past weekend, and two graduates who had already walked through this exact training came back. Not as students. As assistants. They gave up a weekend to stand beside strangers who were about to become their colleagues and hold space for needles going into places they themselves remembered being nervous about.

Sixteen acupuncturists walked in Saturday morning carrying the same quiet question so many of you have carried. Am I going to be good enough at this to actually use it. Two days later they walked out with hands that know the pelvic floor, the concomitant structures, the patterns that hold all of it together. And the feedback started before some of them had even landed home.

Melissa, Austin, TX: "I've been using so much of what I learned last weekend since I've been back in Austin with my clients the past 2 days!"

I spent time after everyone left doing the same thing. Reflecting. Sitting with what we had just built together in that room. "I've spent the last couple of hours reflecting on what an amazing weekend we all shared. I just want to reiterate my gratitude for each one of you and my appreciation for the energy that you brought to the class! I can't wait to see what happens in your practices."

Sixteen new acupuncturists. Two assistants. A room full of clients in Austin, in Seattle, in Centennial, in Portland, in every city these practitioners are heading home to, who are about to get seen in a way they may never have been seen before.

This is what closing the gap actually looks like. A closing circle full of people who are ready.

2026 is sold out. Every practical, every seat, done. But 2027 is already filling, and if Seattle taught me anything this weekend, it is that the acupuncturists who are ready for this work do not wait long to say yes.
